About Dr. Neamtu
Dr. Neamtu received his medical school training at the University of Kentucky in June of 2010. Following that, he completed an Internship in General Medicine at the University of Louisville. His Ophthalmology Residency program was completed at State University of New York at Buffalo, at the Ross Eye Institute in Buffalo, New York. In 2015 he completed his Surgical Vitreoretinal Fellowship training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Department of Ophthalmology, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

After graduation from his Fellowship program, Dr. Neamtu took a position at the Carolina Retina Center, in Columbia South Carolina from July, 2015 through March 2017. He then took a position at the Taustine Eye Center in Louisville, Kentucky from March 2017 to present. We are pleased that Dr. Neamtu is also on staff at Ophthalmology Associates, P.S.C. in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition, Dr. Neamtu has been a part-time Assistant Clinical Professor and the University of Louisville, in Louisville, Kentucky since April, 2017. In his spare time, he enjoys intramural and indoor soccer, basketball, running, tennis and martial arts.
